Tomura (Yosuke Eguchi) was once widely lauded as a legendary patissier, but some 8 years ago he inexplicably left the field. Since that time, Tomura has lectured at culinary schools and wrote a guidebook for pastry critics.

Natsume (Yu Aoi) is a young woman who travels from Kagoshima to Tokyo to find her boyfriend. Natsume fins a job at "Patisserie Coin de rue" - a pastry shop run by husband & wife tandem Yuriko (Keiko Toda) and Julian (Nathan Berg). At "Patisserie Coin de rue" Natsume works with talented patissier Mariko (Noriko Eguchi) & her fascinating creations.

Meanwhile, Tomura is now a regular at "Patisserie Coin de rue" & his encounters with Natsume brings about changes in both of their lives …

Siang hari, waktunya untuk tidur
Tapi Malam hari adalah waktunya untuk bangun.
Itulah Amane Kaoru (YUI) yang menderita penyakit Xeroderma Pigmentosum atau XP yang sampai saat ini belum ada obatnya dan penyakit yang langka banget.
Ketika subuh hingga matahari terbenam adalah jadwalnya untuk tidur, sebaliknya ketika malam menjelang Kaoru membuka mata dan mulai beraktifitas.
Selama 16 thn hidupnya yang biasa2 saja, dia tidak bisa masuk sekolah dan pelipur dalam kesendiriannya adalah gitar. Dia suka sekali menyanyi, bisa dibilang menyanyi adalah soul-nya Kaoru.
Telah lama Kaoru memperhatikan seorang cowok SMA yang selalu membawa papan surf sambil menunggu di halte bus yang ada bersebrangan di depan rumah Kaoru. Kaoru ingin sekali menyapanya tapi tak bisa, karena dia hanya bisa berdiam di rumah saat siang hari. Lama kelamaan Kaoru menyadari bahwa ia fall in Love pada cowok yang diketahui bernama Fujishirou Kouji (Takashi Tsukamoto).
Suatu malam, saat Kaoru sedang memetik gitar di taman, Kouji melintas di depannya. Dengan bermodalkan nekad, Kaoru mengejar cowok itu sampai tak sengaja mendorongnya dari belakang. Dengan gugup dan panik Kaoru mulai memperkenalkan dirinya, "Amane Kaoru desu! 16sai desu! Kareshi wa imasen!".
Awalnya Kouji cuma bisa melongo karena kedatang cewek itu.
Mereka pun berkenalan. Kouji juga mendengarkan suara Kaoru saat ia menyanyi sambil memetik gitar. Kouji pun terpesona pada suara Kaoru yang luar biasa. Lagu ciptaan Kaoru pun sangat menggetarkan jiwanya.
Tapi Kouji baru tahu kemudian kalau Kaoru mengidap XP, Kaoru memutuskan untuk mengakhiri hubungan mereka (di saat mereka telah jadian), tp Kouji tetap ngotot mempertahankan Kaoru.
Atas anjuran Kouji, Kaoru mengikuti lomba debut CD. Berhasilkah ia bertahan dengan penyakit yang menggerogoti tubuhnya?

I caught this film on a United flight to Asia 6/14/2011. The movie Brian Song about a friendship between Chicago Bears Gale Sayers and Brian Piccolo, whom lost his battle with cancer (A REAL TEAR JERKER) has nothing on this one.

I Thought this was going to be a funny happy robot kind of film. NOT! I found myself mesmerized by this film. This movie broke my heart in a million pieces. Tears, outright crying, a love story of love stories.

A bit drawn out in the last half hour or so, however overall, Absolutely Grand. Don't forget your handkerchief. The ultimate tear jerker

A young woman named Sophie is cursed by the Witch of the Waste, turns into an old woman, and is unable to tell anyone of her plight. Unable to continue her job at her mother's hat shop, she goes to the ambulatory castle of the notorious wizard Howl and insinuates herself into his household. Sophie befriends Calcifer, the fire demon who powers the castle and who is bound to Howl by a contract, the terms of which Calcifer cannot reveal. They promise to help each other with their problems. Like Calcifer, Howl can also see through the Witch's spell, and he and Sophie fall in love. Sophie helps Howl confront his former teacher, and the Witch of the Waste.

Episode 1: Oukashou

Upon graduating from elementary school, Takaki Tono and his close friend Akari Shinohara drifted apart. Akari moved to Tochigi Prefecture due to her parents' jobs, while Takaki attended a junior high in Tokyo. The two kept in contact by writing letters, but despite the special feelings that existed between them, the only thing that persisted was time. When Takaki became aware that his family would move to Kagoshima, he decided to go see Akari since they would be too far apart to visit each other after he moved. However, when the day came, a severe snowstorm delayed Takaki's trip, and it would be hours before he reached Iwafune, where they promised to meet.

Episode 2: Cosmonaut

Takaki is now in the third year of senior high in Tanegashima, where the Tanegashima Space Center is located. Kanae Sumita, a classmate of Takaki, has special feelings for Takaki, but she does not have the courage to express her love to him. She later observes that Takaki is always staring off into the distance, as if searching for something far far away.

Episode 3: Byousoku 5 Centimeter

It is now 2008, and all three characters have gone their separate ways. Takaki is now a computer programmer in Tokyo, and Akari is preparing to get married. One day, Takaki goes out and sees the face of a familiar-looking woman at a railroad-crossing. Puzzled by the encounter, he tries to look back, but a train comes and cuts off his view.

Two young girls, Satsuke and her younger sister Mei, move into a house in the country with their father to be closer to their hospitalized mother. While their father's destiny who was a soldier is unknown the two must depend on each other to somehow keep a roof over their heads and food in their stomachs. Mononoke-hime or Princess Mononoke

Set in feudal Japan a time of upheaval of samurai warriors and isolated villages comes this story of a gun-wielding, young brave princess who was raised by wolves named Princess Mononoke who is sent to an ancient, forested land to defend the forest from human encroachment which threatens to unbalance the forces of nature. Ashitaka intervenes to stop the two sides fighting and takes San back to the forest, but is injured in the process. With San's intervention, he is healed of his wounds - but not his curse - by the forest spirit

Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi or Spirited Away

Chihiro and her family are on their way to their new house in the suburbs when her father decides to take a shortcut along a lonely-looking dirt road. After getting out of the car and walking along a path for a while, they discover an open-air restaurant filled with food but with no workers or customers present. Mom and Dad don't hesitate to sit down and dig in, but Chihiro senses danger and refuses. As night falls, she is terrified to see the area fill with faceless spirits, but when she runs to find her parents, she discovers that they have been turned into pigs. She is found by a mysterious boy named Haku, who promises to help her. He gets her a job working in a nearby building, which turns out to be a bathhouse for the thousands of Japan's gods and spirits. Though the work is hard and the people strange, she does as well as she can. Her parents, however, are still waiting in the hotel's stockyard, and Chihiro must find a way to break the spell on them before they end up as the main course of some guest's dinner
