Kosuke attempts to make it big as a comedian in New York City but ends up failing and returning to his hometown in Japan. There he refuses to take up the work at his father’s udon restaurant and finds a job working in a magazine. But little does he know how this marks the beginning of a craze in Japan for the noodles.
