Brigandine (US)

The Romance series returns for its second assault on PSX. As the leader of your own nation in war torn ancient China, it is up to you to unify the whole land. To do this, you'll need to build, manage and control your cities while interacting with and directing the actions of hundreds of different characters. Through military and domestic management, you can unify China and be the Emperor!

Romance of the Three Kingdoms released by Koei is one of Koei's most successful game title as testified by the number of successive titles Koei has done so far. One thing that has not changed for these six games is the objective: Unite the whole of China through brute force or diplomacy though i believe many would agree with me that it is around 96% brute force. Koei has also released The Legend of Zhuge Liang and Cao Cao. These two game titles are linear in gameplay as the player play through the events/incidents that took place for Zhuge Liang and Cao Cao's life. Basically it is a story telling of their lives.

Brave Fencer Musashi

Brave Fencer Musashi was released by Square on Oct 31st,1998. This game has been hailed by many as Square's response to Zelda. While many maintained that the response could never match up, what a response it was. Musashi, is a warrior of ancient Japan, a legend, samurai, author of his own sword fighting technique, philosopher and poet!

While the game itself has a good storyline, it has a very active battle system. You would not be wrong if you called it an action platformer. You wouldn't be wrong if you called it an RPG. Reminds you of some other popular series by Nintendo, doesn't it ? : )

The entire game has polygonal characters and some beautiful 360 degree rotatable 3D backgrounds. Each level will present to you it's own set of puzzles, solving which will get you through. Atleast, that's the easy part. You DO have to engage in battle often, but the battles are very exhilirating with a host of moves you can pull off using Musashi's short sword. The game also features a brilliant musical score. You can check that out in our soundtracks section. Credit for uploading this game goes to none other than dear Mikey from our forums. Enjoy the title, a game definitely worth playing!

Travel back in time to Ancient Greece with those classic characters, Asterix, Obelix and the faithful Dogmatix.
On a mission to help out their lovesick friend Alafolix, the trio are taken to the mighty Olympic Games, where they find themselves set to compete against the great athletes of the Roman Empire.

With three playable characters, (Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix) players will take on Olympic challenges in order to get the better of Brutus, the muscle-bound champion, and their long-time archrival: Julius Caesar.
Compete in vast marathons, Tug-o-War challenges, long jump sprints and chariot races in your journey, or play in multi player mode and go head to head with a friend in a series of rather interesting contests

Arc the Lad

Arc the Lad has been around long enough to be a grown man by now. For nearly a decade, the Arc series of role-playing games has appeared on Sony consoles in Japan and the US. Past installments in the series have been fairly standard turn-based role-playing games set in a fantasy universe that threatens to implode every so often, unless a group of unlikely heroes comes along to save the day--which, conveniently, it always does. End of Darkness moves into new territory, as it's the first entry in the series to feature online play and an action-oriented battle system. Unfortunately, the new battle system is mindless and repetitive, and the online multiplayer does nothing to mitigate the weak single-player campaign, lifeless characters, and dull presentation of the game.

Ape Escape

it's an ironclad rule in life that there's nothing that can't be made better with monkeys. That includes launching a new handheld gaming system. Realizing this key fact, Sony has decided to give the PSP a little simian goodness with the release of Ape Escape: On the Loose.

On the Loose is an updated version of the original Ape Escape on PSOne. In case you missed it the first time around, the story is simple enough. One fine day, an albino monkey named Specter stumbles across an experimental helmet which grants him hyper-intelligence. Specter decides that the world would be better off if he was in charge. As part of his master plan, Specter and his monkey minions get their hands on a time machine and scatter themselves throughout the eons in order to rewrite history in their favor. You play as Spike, a young boy sent out to recapture the wayward critters before Earth starts to look like something out of Planet of the Apes -- you know, a madhouse. A MADHOUSE!
